Sophie, a fluffy golden brown mutt, stars on our 2019 dog medal. A stray, Sophie had been living under and around the school busses in the Brackenridge parking lot for several weeks until she was rescued by neighbors. Our free programs covered the cost of her vetting and she now has a wonderful family and home.
Medals are 1-3/4" tall and 1-1/2" wide. They're made of heavyweight silver metal and enamel, hang from a green grosgrain ribbon, and have a safety catch pin back. The reverse of each medal features The Cannoli Fund's "Big C" logo and our web address, thecannolifund.org.
Sophie’s medal also includes a bonus lapel pin depicting one of our Cannoli’s Canteen neighborhood pet water bowls. This lapel pin comes attached to the green ribbon and can be removed and worn separately after Fiesta! Lapel pin measures 5/8".
